How My Parents Have Shaped My Work
I always admired the callouses on my mother's hands. The deeply etched lines of her palms. You couldn't tell her hands apart from my father's. Their rough hands were the product of the life they had built. Solange and Marty Velas have showed me what it means to work hard and love even harder. I was molded by garden gloves and bear hugs. Open palms and morning psalms. I come from a family of hard workers. This is where I gained my fortitude. There is an essence of creativity and longevity in our blood. Our goal is a sustainable life.
I am a marketer who can envision a business from the ground up. I watched my parents craft their small business to fulfill a dream. I understand how to illuminate a brand's goals, values, personality, and community impact. These are the things that a business is proud of and consumers want to be a part of. Businesses are built with rough hands. It's time to show off your hard work.
