Projects to be Proud of
Whether a project of my own or a product of collaboration, these are my points of pride.
Leadership League at Pond Gap Elementary
As a member of the 2021-2023 Leadership Knoxville Scholars cohort, I had the privilege of choosing a Community Action project to focus on for 2 years. My group of five members constructed a leadership curriculum that would encourage kids to be passionate servant leaders. Our goal is to show each child that they are a leader in their own way, and that they have a place at the table. Our first year, the kids completed a service project to revive the Pond Gap garden.
TTI Pitch Competition
My team achieved second place in the TTI Pitch Competition available for Haslam students. TTI supplied their business dilemma to several management classes, who would then in turn give a realignment pitch to a judge. The judge chose three teams to then present their ideas to two TTI associates. We proposed a company structure realignment plan.
Projects enrich my teamwork abilities
Projects are often collaborative. They are crucial in developing delegative skills as well as humility. They are important settings to practice patience and empathy as well.
